Gut Bacteria

Fifteen years passed between Robin Warren and Barry Marshall linking gut bacteria to peptic ulcers and the CDC’s endorsement of that finding.  Now, a report links gut bacteria to multiple sclerosis.  Might history be repeating itself?  The work is being led by Sarkis K. Mazmanian, an assistant professor of biology at Caltech, and postdoctoral scholar Yun Kyung Lee.         MORE
