Dissolving Microneedles

Hypodermic needles pose certain problems in their use-safe disposal for one; unsanitary reuse in spreading disease for another. To address these concerns, researchers at Georgia Tech and Emory have developed a needle patch, with hundreds of vaccine-infused polymer microneedles that dissolve after they’ve been applied to the skin.
