Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring, for Pets

The novelty of this story is that a researcher at the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine has used an implanted Medtronic glucose monitor in dogs. The significance, however, is that there are hundreds of thousands of rare animals in zoological parks around the world, and the ability to use wearable and implantable vital sign sensors, with wireless transmission, has yet to reach them from human applications. The need is waiting.
