Profactor 200 Robotics

Profactor (Steyr, Austria) has developed an industrial robot which uses an “intelligent 3D object recognition system” to teach the machine how to grip the piece being manipulated.  This technology comes from the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences where, additionally, researchers are developing wearable “data glasses” that guide a technician’s repair work.         MORE
