The D. V. A. has long been a leader in electronic medical records and telemedicine, which is why the Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Subcommittee on Health, is supportive of greater initiatives for wireless applications, especially for veterans living in rural areas.  Additional testimony for that aim, in hearings, came from the Brookings Institution’s Center for Technology Innovation, the Continua Health Alliance, and the US Army’s Medical Research and Materiel Command’s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center.  MORE
