Living Human Digital Data Library
August 24, 2010 | Terry Sharrer
Using whole-body CT and MRI scans, stereophotogrammetry, micro CT, laser diffraction, and chemical analysis, bioinformatics experts at Ortopedico Rizzoli (Bologna, Italy) have begun to release 3-D images of a complete female in the “Living Human Digital Library.” The skeletal images are available now, with muscle, organ, tissue, sub-tissue, and cell data coming by the end of this year. The LHDL is available for free to non-profit organizations, and for a fee to commercial users. MORE
