Telemedicine Device Market
July 20, 2010 | Terry Sharrer
“Consumer telehealth will be an extension of the current home-use medical device market, with manufacturers offering additional internet-based services to people that purchase their monitors. These services are expected to include simple analysis of readings and some level of generalized feedback that may include dietary and nutritional advice. . . .” is the forecast of the medical market research company InMedica . In the US, the most extensive network of home telehealth comes from the Veterans Administration-with some 30,000 subscribers. InMedica also senses that consumer-led telehealth services will be a “disruptive innovation” that forces itself on family practice physicians. MORE
