The Beijing Genomics Institute’s recent order of 126 DNA sequencers from Illumina, not only makes BGI the world’s largest sequencing facility, it signifies the Chinese government’s intent to invest heavily in technology that stands to define the age of genomic medicine.  Will China capture biomedicine the way it did with steel, automobiles, consumer goods, et al?  Yes would be a good bet.            MORE
