Analyzing breath using nanoparticles

Researchers at the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa have devised a breathalyzer that relies on gold nanoparticles to capture volatile organic compounds exhaled from a person who has lung cancer.  There must be a proprietary reason why this report doesn’t say how the indicative compounds stick to the nanoparticles.  More
