Noninvasive Device to Detect Congestive Heart Failure

Three years ago, researchers in Israel developed a novel technique that relies on electrical impedance to image internal organs. Some called it a “magic wand.” Since then, several Israeli companies have pursued this technology, and one of them, Sensible Medical Innovations plans to set up shop in Columbus, OH to work with Ohio State University heart specialists in developing an application for congestive heart failure. Sensible Medical Innovations recently received $7m in venture capital, but they already were enticed to Ohio by funding from the Cleveland Clinic’s Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center. MORE
