The e-Hospital

The idea that an information services platform could be the making of the hospital of the future is coming closer to reality. InterSystems Corporation (Cambridge, MA) has recently signed an agreement with United Family Hospitals and Clinics in China to provide integrated clinical and administrative information management through its “TrakCare” software. InterSystems has several other plug-in programs that span much of healthcare (but so far not molecular medicine data mining), and the full suite has easy interoperability with other information systems. United Family Hospitals is owned by Chindex International, headquartered in Bethesda, MD. MORE
