Jacob Rosen Develops “Wearable” Robot
May 27, 2009 | Terry Sharrer
University of California at Santa Cruz engineer, Jacob Rosen, has developed a robotic “exoskeleton” that can assist disabled people in retraining upper body muscle movements-achieving 95% of normal range of motion. Even more interesting, Rosen aims to create a “bio-port” that allows a disabled person’s brain to direct the robot’s actions, and he also is working on a lower body “exoskeleton.” MORE
