Army’s Medical Speech Recognition System

The US Army has deployed to its physicians the Dragon Medical Speech Recognition System that allows doctors to speak their clinical notes directly into the military’s electronic medical record system, “AHTLA.” Presumably Veteran’s Affairs will do likewise, as DOD and DVA have a September 30, 2009 deadline to integrate their EMR’s.
