Ronald Dixon, M. D., director of the Virtual Practice Project at Massachusetts General Hospital, is miniaturizing the mini-clinic to kiosk size, where a person with low acuity needs can get a checkup in front of a computer screen with simple monitoring devices. He envisions these kiosks being set up in supermarkets, shopping centers, et al, with the first to deploy at stores in Britain early this summer. MORE
