Los Angeles philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad, who originally donated $200m to create the Broad Institute at Harvard and MIT in 1998, have now added another $400m-making the combination the largest contribution in support of university-based biomedical research worldwide.  A press release includes a list of the major contributions the Broad Institute’s 1,200 investigators have made to biomedicine thus far.  SEE
