Brian D. Matthews's bio:

Brian Matthews currently has responsibility for Industry and Enterprise Solutions Marketing for VeriSign. In this role he leads global market analysis, segmentation and positioning to develop and delivery solutions to the Enterprise. Additionally, he has a for the Information Service family of products including; Registry Services for .com, Connected Intelligence, Brand Protection and Intelligent Supply Chain solutions. These services help Global 2000 customers make timely, high impact decisions by transforming raw data into actionable intelligence.

Previously, he held the position of Vice President of VeriSign’s Directory Services business unit, in this role, Mr. Matthews conceptualized, developed and executed go-to-market strategies for new product opportunities in emerging markets.

Before VeriSign, Mr. Matthews lead Business Development for Signio, a leading Internet payment provider, which was acquired by VeriSign in 1999. As an early member of the Signio team, Mr. Matthews helped to build market momentum and increased sales by 50% within his first six months at Signio. Mr. Matthews also spent 10 years at The Chase Manhattan Bank where he held several senior roles in Sales, Marketing and Strategic Development. As a VP of eCommerce Strategy and Market Development for Chase’s Payment Services division, he helped conceptualize and launch new early market businesses which included; Electronic Bill Payment and Presentment (EBPP), and Working Capital Management solutions.

Mr. Matthews holds a Masters of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and graduated with honors from Ohio University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.
