The University of Manchester is the discovery hearth of graphene, and now its researchers have proposed means for turning strands of graphene into yarn for textiles. “e-textiles” can be designed for multiple health and athletic performances, and it should be remembered that Manchester, more than two centuries ago, had the world’s first steam-driven cotton spinning mill, using Richard Arkwright’s innovations.
