Engineering scientists at Kansas State University are developing and testing a system of passive bed monitors and wearable sensors to provide 24 hour sleep and behavior assessment in children with disabilities such as autism. Such a system might also be applied to elders with dementia, prisoners, neonates, adults with traumatic brain injury, and other situations where polysomnography and wellness monitoring have obvious benefit.
