Radiologists at Duke University have produced an ultra high resolution map of the human brain stem that is a thousand times more detailed than today’s clinical MRI scans. They produced this by doing a ten day high powered MRI scan of a healthy donor’s postmortem brain. The images were then converted into a 3-D computer model, which could be much better in locating electrode positions for Deep Brain Stimulation. MORE
