Possibilities for Touch Sensors

Touch-screen devices rely on a phenomenon known as time domain reflectometry, which occurs when there is a change in electrical conductance between two points. Usually, those points are on wires, but they also can be located with lines of conductive ink-indeed, matrices of conductive ink lines as might be printed into clothing, furniture, architectural features, paper, et al. Indeed, any surface, whether it’s flooring for gait monitoring, or a tee-shirt for tracking heart rate might be next generation of touch-activated health and wellness devices. MORE
