Last year, Ascension Health and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Western New York made online care available through Mount Saint Mary’s Hospital in Buffalo.  For a $25 fee, someone can choose a physician on duty and have a ten minute consultation-which undoubtedly most often results in a prescription or, if more serious, a referral.
