Using laser capture micro-dissection and mass spectroscopy, researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have been able to determine the proteomic “signatures of bone” from nano-samples and assess bone quality for strength or likelihood of fracture.  Obviously, for patients at risk from osteoporosis, this test could result in earlier diagnosis and treatment.   MORE
