Telemedicine: The Reality of the Most Overlooked Tool of Healthcare – Challenging The Mandatory Face-to-Face Visit
The presentation will offer a look at the deployment of telemedicine, specifically telephone calls, and how this tactic can reduce overall costs of care will increasing the quality and access of care for patients. The following learning objectives will be discussed:
1. About 70% of all patient interactions can be handled by a simple phone call.
2. Nearly 100 years after the invention of the telephone, third-party providers are not reimbursing doctors for using phone calls as a part of a patient’s care.
