Governor Timothy M. Kaine announced that the Commonwealth of Virginia will support The Ignite Institute which will focus on translating innovations in personalized medicine into patient care.  This is a unique collaborative partnership and will be located in Fairfax County;  Inova Health System is a major founding partner.

Ignite Founder and CEO, Dietrich Stephan, PhD, was appointed the Executive Director of the Translational and Personalized Medicine Center at Inova.  Dr. Stephan’s dual role with Inova will facilitate the implementation of the innovations into the healthcare system.

Dr. Stephan will speaker at the Medical Automation Conference, Automated Wellness:  Enabling Universal Access to Healthcare.
