David O. Barbe's bio:

Dr. David Barbe is President, Regional Division, St. John’s Clinic, Inc. St. John’s Clinic is a wholly owned subsidiary of St. John's Health System (SJHS) of Springfield, Missouri. With over $350 million in net revenues, St. John’s Clinic consists of 470 physicians in 69 locations in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. Responsibilities include executive oversight of all regional clinic operations, development of regional services for St. John’s Health System, and participation on the SJHS executive management team. In addition, Dr. Barbe is a practicing physician with St. John's Southwest Missouri Family Health Care, a medical practice that is part of the St. John's Clinic, Inc., with offices in Mountain Grove and Houston, Missouri.

From 1987to 1997, Dr. Barbe was President and Managing Partner of Southwest Missouri Family Health Care, Inc. an independent family practice group with offices in Mountain Grove and Houston, Missouri.

Dr. Barbe received his Master of Health Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia; his MD from University of Missouri-Columbia; he completed his residency in Family Practice at St. Joseph Medical Center. He is a Diplomat, ABFP and holds a certification in geriatrics as well.

Dr. Barbe is active in the Missouri State Medical Association, The AMA, Council on Medical Service, and is a Board member of URAC (national accreditation organization). He has received professional recognition as Missouri Family Physician of the Year, a Top Ten Finalist for American Family Physician of the Year, American Academy of Family Physicians; and for his contributions to advance physicians’ assistants, was named the First Honorary Member Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants. Additionally, he is active in many community organizations in Mountain Grove.
