Preserving “Vouchered” Host Specimens

MAIN has had several pieces over the years about biorepositories—mostly for preserving human blood and tissue specimens. This piece argues that the same curating ought to be devoted to pathogenic “host” species as a guard against epizootic organisms that can jump species to become the next human pandemic.
