A “Channelpedia” of Potassium Ion Channels
December 3, 2019 | Terry Sharrer
Researchers in the “Blue Brain Project” at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) have created a rough draft map of potassium ion channels in neurons based on their kinetics. They accomplished this by investigating how ion “gates” behaved at different temperatures. Interestingly, they carried out this work using an ion channel robot that automatically recorded the activation, inactivation, delayed activation and random activation under changing conditions MORE
