Prosthetic Hand that Plays Piano

Georgia Tech engineers have used an ultrasound detector to produce a prosthetic hand with high resolution electromyography. They call it the “Luke Skywalker Prosthesis,” and amazingly its novel algorithm allows a piano player to move individual fingers well enough to play Bach’s “Ode to Joy.” Joy, indeed! See the video.
