A Skin Patch against Antibiotic Resistance

Oral antibiotics are absorbed through the intestines, and because not all of the drug reaches the blood stream, resistance can develop in the gut bacteria. Researchers at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Island believe they may have a better way: a microneedle-studded skin patch that delivers antibiotics to blood vessels and then dissolves. MORE
