A Robot with Real Human Tissue

It’s an interesting idea—to build a mechanical robot with sheets of lab grown human skin stretched over large anatomical areas. The robot’s flexing would simulate the stresses on living tissue, perhaps advancing knowledge of successful grafting. But this piece doesn’t say how the living cells would remain alive long enough to reach clinical observations. Still, original concepts often seem inadequate until the kinks are worked out. MORE
