“Deep Learning” in medical diagnosis applies to many technologies. First, a large study set is computer analyzed to find common indicators; then, the resulting algorithm is used to assess new subjects. In this piece, researchers at Tel Aviv University have reviewed a large study set of x-ray, CT and MRI radiography images and now are able to have automated detection and labeling of pathologies from in-coming images. An article about deep learning artificial intelligence appears this month in the IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging. MORE
