90% of Advanced Prostate Cancers have Clinically Actionable Genetic Aberrations

In a collaboration involving eight centers in the US and Europe, researchers sequenced DNA and RNA from tissue biopsies of 150 men with metastatic prostate cancer. Surprising results showed that 90% of those patients had clinically actionable genetic alterations, of which only 8% were inherited. This was surprising because earlier studies had found very few genetic errors. MORE
