Lab Grown Lymphatic Cells

It started with filming zebrafish embryonic development and then playing the recording backwards. What investigators at the Weizmann Institute (Rehovot, Israel) found was a section of the embryo’s main vein where stem cells gave rise to lymphatic cells. Then, by identifying a gene that triggered that development, the team was able to grow lymphatic cells in vitro for the first time. MORE
