Its banner reads: “Aging is the single biggest risk factor for virtually every significant human disease. . .” With that, Craig Venter, who carried out the privately funded Human Genome Project, has moved on to create Human Longevity, Inc., which among other things intends to open its first “Health Hub” center for personalized medicine in San Diego this coming July, and compile data of one million genomes by 2020. He congratulates President Obama for proposing that the federal government join the venture for precision medicine, even if it is a little late out of the gate. MORE
