Biometric Watch for Glucose, Dehydration and Pulse

Designing a wrist-worn, watch-like device that includes a laser, electromagnet, camera and battery, the Optics Research Group at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands has created a noninvasive glucose monitor that detects both sugar and water content in blood. Detection is in the “speckle” pattern of reflected light. A similar device measures pulse. MORE
