Door Handle Sanitizer
Hospital acquired infections happen at a rate of one in twenty five in-patients. Since insurers no longer reimburse hospitals for HAI’s, hand sanitizers have become ubiquitous. Even so, reviews show that compliance rates for hand sanitation are around 22%. To improve this number (actually to 77%), the Agency of Design (London) and Attitude Medical (Oxford) have created “Pull Clean”—a door handle that dispenses hand sanitizer. It was an astute observation about how people open doors that resulted in this product which will soon be available to US hospitals. MORE WITH VIDEO
