People have always been anxious about their health status to some degree, but today that has become a retail healthcare phenomenon. With watches, tablets, smartphones, et al, it is becoming possible to continuously monitor one’s oxygen saturation, hydration, serum or tear glucose, breathing, pulse, sleep, weight, exercise, etc. Do these things make the consumer of this data more health conscious or simply more neurotic?
