Broadcom Corporation (Germantown, MD) is one of those “connect everything” companies which seems to have found a strategy for success. In its 13-year history it has grown to become #327 on the “Fortune 500” list, with annual revenues at 35% more than the entire world market for wearable devices. Its latest device is a global GPS tracking chip for wearable sports/fitness/wellness sensors. Supposedly, the GPS and its monitoring system will give make health data more interpretive according to location changes, but it also could be useful in knowing where lost children, unfaithful lovers, and confused elders have gone.
