From Hammersmith Hospital in London we have this news: “The first test-tube baby to come from an embryo screened for genetic defects using a new, low-cost technique that could improve in-vitro fertilization success rates was born last month and is a healthy boy.” Though she was not genetically screened before birth, Louise Joy Brown, the first test tube baby (born at Royal Oldham Hospital in Manchester, UK) is now a healthy 35 year old.
