While we’re still waiting for really low cost DNA sequencing, another technology that promises to be an innovation game-changer, 3D printing, is coming within the price range of a game console. Probably, engineers in regenerative medicine won’t be using the $347 3-D machine mentioned in this piece to print transplantable organs, but using this technology appears to be transformative for several medical applications.
