In some situations, telemedicine will require an assistant at a patient’s location to coordinate care with a remote physician.  The patient may need help in using examination instruments or in positioning for the doctor’s viewing.  In short, telemedicine can be autonomous in some cases, or assisted by “telepresenters” in others.  See the video.  MORE WITH VIDEOS
