Color Sensing for Skin Diseases
June 4, 2013 | Terry Sharrer
MAZeT GmbH (Erfurt, Germany) makes a multi-spectral color sensor that can be used (and may already be in use) for a hand held device that assesses skin abnormalities based on metamers (i.e. matching an optical image to different spectral power distributions). This is another example of a small, portable device doing the work of much larger and more expensive laboratory instruments. MORE
