An international consortium has created a second generation map of the biochemical reactions involved in human metabolism. Called “Recon 2,” this edition details more than 7,400 reactions involving some 1,800 genes. With the human genome listing over 20,000 protein coding genes, we can look forward to many “Recons” to come. Access to this one is free at the following site. MORE
