OPM 3D Printed Skull

Polyketone is a high performance thermoplastic polymer that Oxford Performance Materials (South Windsor, CT) has now used in a 3-D printer to make skull implants for patients with large fracture areas.  The process involves making a CT image of the trauma area, and then CAD/CAM software instructs the printer to make a custom prosthetic.
