ZetrOZ (Ithaca, NY) is known for making a wearable ultrasound device to treat inflammation and chronic wounds in horses, but it has now developed both a wearable patch and swallowable pill for human applications. Its “uPill” is the world’s smallest ultrasound device, and when coated with a drug and swallowed, its sound waves can make tissue in the GI tract more absorbable for the medication. MORE
