With lower costs for DNA sequencing, greater understanding of cancer genetics, and drugs that are known to target specific genes, genomic strategies for treating cancer are advancing.  This piece mentions 200 “actionable” cancer genes, and 900 anticancer drugs currently in use: the trick is to match the drugs and the genes to an individual’s tumor.  MORE PLUS AUDIO
