Non-Invasive Continuous Glucose Monitor

The YouTube video at this site is a promotion of C8 MediSensors (San Jose, CA) continuous glucose monitor which is not yet commercially available in the US, but it’s interesting to see how the device works. It is based on a Raman “spectral fingerprint,” derived from wearing the small device on a belt around the waist. Sensing how light scatters upon glucose in the skin, a reading is measured every ten minutes and transmitted to a cell phone. General Electric is funding the development process. MORE
