Careers in Biomedical Engineering
September 5, 2011 | Terry Sharrer
New knowledge has long provided economic liberation, and despite so much business uncertainty today, a convergence of biological and engineering knowledge holds a powerful engine for change. Indeed, that is the theme of the upcoming Southeast Biomedical Engineering Career Conference which will focus on innovation and entrepreneurship in biomaterials, tissue engineering, and drug delivery. The program is a collaboration between the University of Virginia‘s Department of Biomedical Engineering, and the George Washington University’s Biomedical Engineering Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The one day meeting will take place in Herndon, VA on October 28-coincidentally, the quasquicentennial of the Statue of Liberty. MORE
