Tissue Cultured Blood Vessels

In a clinical trial in Poland, three dialysis patients had allogenic tissue-engineered vascular grafts implanted to perform as shunts. The recent report of this work claimed no immunological rejection and that the lab-cultured blood vessels, originating from skin cells, performed better than natural or synthetic materials.
