E.coli Logic Gates for DNA Sequencing

Aiming to transfer the precision of electronic computing into living systems, researchers at the University of California-San Francisco and Life Technologies Corp (Carlsbad, CA) have engineered two strains of E. coli that represent the “1” and “0” logic gates of computation.
